Fall/Winter 2011
Colors: You may have noticed all the “mustard” hues floating around the stores and on the runway. Some call it “burnt”. Whatever description you’d like to give it, it rests somewhere in between yellow and orange and it is a MUST have. The other color you are seeing a lot of is what we’ll call BERRY. Many variations of purple are out there right now. GRAB ONE. It’s a fun season for fashion. Rather than slumping into color hibernation as the weather cools, this season is bright and bold. Love.

Clothing: Yep, still seeing the sequins, still seeing the ruffles, still seeing the sheer fabrics (and sheer maxi dresses), and still seeing prints (lots of polka dots). Skinny jeans will be around but there is a push toward wide legs and flare, just to add some variety. A new addition to the mix is the psychedelic fur. It seems to be taking a bold stand, not just on outerwear but mixed into everyday fashion. Furs of all colors are on the runway and you’ll see fur vests everywhere you look. Many designers are animal friendly though, so don’t be afraid to flaunt a faux. You’ll be more en vogue than ever.

Accesssories: Boho with a Navajo flare will definitely be visible. And you’ll still see lots of layering (an MB fav). The jewelry will start getting more heavy as well. That’s right, now’s the time to throw on the MB Turquoise Ring or the Citrine. And by all means, don’t forget the MB Bracelet Cuff. Cuffs are everywhere.
And as always, here at MB we believe that fabulous IS as fabulous DOES so keep being fabulous – MB fabulous.
Talk to you soon,
